Homemade Vowel Stamps
I saw this cool worksheet idea on Mrs. Ricca’s Kindergarten blog and thought I might be able to do the vowel one with stuff I had in the house already. So I dug through all the train stuff and found the trees that don’t stand up well on our carpet anyways, and got out our puff paint.
The only thing I didn’t think through was the fact that the “a” and the “e” don’t look the same in mirror image… but the others worked fine!
We used a little paint since I didn’t have an ink pad and it worked well! I think Becca thought it was funny that we got to use trees!
Becca has also been into painting stories recently – here are the most recent ones:
This one she told me a story about all the different color apple trees.
This one involved a story that at first was about three pigs building a house and keeping all the bad guys out and something about the bad guys making foot prints all over town. It morphed after daddy got home into a story about kids playing inside and keeping the bad guy from eating their food.
